On Sunday, June 11, 2023, Dr. Emde, his wife and three daughters, volunteered at the one-day AMEN Free Clinic in Calhoun, GA. His lab manager, Sabrina and one of his technicians, Erica, also volunteered their time to help. They all arrived Thursday night of the previous week to help complete the set up the clinic on Friday at the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church. Free medical care, dental care, and vision care was provided to those in need. AMEN, the Adventist Medical Evangelism Network, is the organization that lead the event. Over 250 patients were seen in Calhoun. Free haircuts, and other needs were met as well.
